*Me thinks I'll dip into new submissions and see whats on offer*

Hmmmmm, aight. I can dig it.
00:00 - 00:56, this is a nice intro, I like the retro vibe that is going on and the drums and mixed very very well. There is a tiny teeny bit of flange being caused by the clashing 8 and low bit sounds but its no big deal.
00:56 - 01:16, this breakdown is cool. I think they kick could pack more punch but its cool. Theres a synth stabbing in the back thats a bit out of place, maybe its too loud in the mix but regardless its cool.
The rest of the tune just sort of repeats on whats happened, I think the song is pretty well made and produced but its quite repetitive, although it is very short so thats not a major issue.
4 outta 5 and a extra .5 for the loop working well :D

Nice one, keep it up!
4.5/5

Thanks for the feedback :) I'll go change it now.

Yeah i didnt notice the kick wasnt there enough and if you're talking about the crappy "bass" synth thing i tried to make for the first time, it was a failure hehe :D
yeah it is repetitive. i'll try to not do that next time.

thanks~ ^^

Aight review time.

Intro is a tad bit harsh, basically what I mean is that synth that came in at 00:07 scared the shit outta me. Its like way too loud to just pop up with such a chilled intro. I think the crashes behind it are a tad outta place.
00:35 the beat drops, its solid. Nice flow to it for sure, the kick could be a bit fatter and pack bit more of a punch but its nice regardless.
The lead is cool, bit low in the mix for my personally liking but its chill and holds the piece together well.

Cool tune all in all, a tiny tiny tiny bit repetitive, maybe next time explore a new theme and play with some stuff, but it works, kept me listening.
Nice one man.

TooColdToHold responds:

Thanks! Yea, the synth 0:07 does come in too abruptly now that I relisten.

I'm bored so time to look through some new songs and review the odd one or two.

Ok, so the intro is solid. I like the slow build up, my kinda thing. It is a tad bit long and others might fault you for that, but I did long intros, so +1 from me on that.
The lead is nice but I kinda thing I've heard it before so just wondering if its a preset or you made it yourself? Regardless it fits nicely.
I personally think the drums are a bit too weak, especially the snare, it feels dull to me.

This track gets pretty repetitive, you gotta not be afraid to try out some key changes or straying outside the box a little bit.
Its cool you had a theme for this, a persons thought process, thats a nifty idea to make a tune around but I still think the entire song is a tad bit long.

All in all its cool man, bit more work on the mix end and mixing drums. Maybe make a few more snares because I still think thats a dull snare. But keep at it, interested to see how you improve on this!
Good Job!

Thanks for the comprehensive review and compliments! Lol I think build-ups are part of my style, I'm not expecting people who doesn't appreciate some progressiveness to love my songs too much! xD

The lead is self-made, started from scratch with sytrus. In the end I layered a nexus preset on top of it just to give it a little depth and for some more portamento but its timbre is from scratch.

Admittedly I wasn't focusing too much on the drum presence (although I tried to do something interesting with the drum technique). The snare is a fruity loops preset (and all their presets suck) so it certainly could be changed for the better.

I'll probably do a little more work and distribute this again, we'll see!

I dug this, its a cool track with a solid beat in it.
Could use a little bit of a better mix, and maybe another instrument to liven it up at parts, but asides that its cool.
4.5/5 :)

That beat, is so fucking tight.
You could just bop to this all day, uh uh uh, too good.

5/5

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Thanks man. :)

Yah its not bad, not my kinda music personally but from a production point of view its quite good.
Maybe skim a tiny bit off the high end, EQ wise of the master, but thats just me.

Nice job.
4.5/5!

Megamannt92 responds:

Thanks for the review man! I'm still always learning as far as production is concerned, I appreciate the feedback.

I remember when this came out, I remember thinking the vocals were out of tune but the rapping was awesome.
Feel pretty much the same here, vocals sound a bit off but the rap is solid.

Its a good remix, love the kick, nice impact on it.
Nice one
