Laptop back but...

Posted by LazyBucks - October 26th, 2013

So I got my Laptop back today.
They replaced some parts to get it working again but sadly the Harddrive was dead and nothing could be saved.

Music wise this means I lose over 300gb of samples, ProTools, Logic, all my plugins and unfinished sessions.
All my finished sessions...

Basically this is a huge setback for me making music.
I need to get a DAW now and start to rebuild my sample folder from scratch.

Needless to say, do NOT expect music anytime soon in future...

Super ultimate sad face
:( :( :(

Chance to start new. I like it.

Heh, I also lot a shitstorm of work stuff, this isn't the chance to start new I would have wanted :(

My computer is busted too.but im on my phone.

Chances to start anew are seldom what/how we want them lmao

Part of living on this sphere they say.

Aw man, that sucks. Hope you'll get back on your music making feet again. :)

noooo just like totally NOOO! xd

I know :(. Hopefully will have everything reinstalled soon

I'm very sorry to hear that. It has happened to me as well, causing me to lose every program I had ever written and every [digital] photo I had ever taken. It changed my life. I became aware of a greater existence. Now I religiously perform backup rituals, but the daemons are restless; Both of my backup drives are failing at the same time.

If you still have the hard drive you could look into getting other people to check it out. I've found that many computer repair places don't really know about all the ways to try to repair a failed hard drive. They just plug it in and try to run some recovery software.
